We've seen some weird design choices in homes, but artist Jun Kitagawa's giant zipper installation pretty much takes the cake. The artist has designed several of these huge three-dimensional replicas in various public spaces around Japan, according to the blog Spoon & Tamago.
Of course, we're partial to the one that appears to run down the wall of a bedroom, splitting right through the carpet and revealing the floor joists below. Trippy, right?
