A Chicago-area animal adoption center is asking for help after a school bus crashed into their facility Wednesday afternoon and left their business in a standstill.
According to ABC Chicago, Wright-Way Animal Rescue in the 7100 block of West Touhy Avenue in Niles, Ill. was struck by an out-of-control school bus about 12:50 p.m. Wednesday. No students were aboard the bus at the time of the crash and neither the 62-year-old driver nor another woman on the bus were hurt.
No animals or other individuals were hurt in the crash -- and just one pet, a cat, was temporarily missing -- but the shelter is now looking for foster homes for the 25 animals inside the shelter at the time of the accident, Patch reports.

The shelter, which takes pets at risk of being euthanized in mostly southern, rural Illinois and re-homes them in the Chicago area, is also being forced to forego picking up the 75 additional animals it had planned to pick up and bring to the shelter this weekend as it looks to rebuild.
"It's 10 years of hard work and dedication and it's just been demolished in one day. It's very depressing but we're positive we're going to continue our work, we just don't know how at the moment," Anderson told WGN (embedded above).
Meanwhile, the driver has been cited and underwent a routine drug and alcohol test.
In an interview with HuffPost last summer, Anderson said the shelter finds homes for almost 4,000 animals each year.
"[When we started] there were no spay neuter clinics in the 17 southern communities we serve," Anderson told HuffPost. "We are able to serve a need by reducing the use of euthanasia and providing those who want to adopt with a great animal that may not have happened otherwise."
