Typically someone, somewhere knows or sees something that could help law enforcement recover a missing person. And whether you realize it or not, that someone could be you.
Ericka Almore And Mykayla Howard-Green
Ericka Almore, 16, and Mykayla Howard-Green, 14, of Detroit, Mich., were last seen on the city's east side on Sept. 14. No further details have been provided on their disappearance. Almore is described as being 5 feet 3 inches tall and 160 pounds, with brown and blonde hair and brown eyes. She has a tattoo of the initials "DB" on the right side of her stomach. The teen was last seen wearing black pajama shorts and a black and gray shirt. Howard-Green is 5 feet 4 inches tall and 140 pounds, with brown and blonde hair and hazel eyes. Rachel S. Burch
Rachel Burch, 47, of Princeton, Ind., was last heard from on Sept. 29 when she made contact with her employer at Wal-Mart. Burch is described as 110 pounds and 5 feet 4 inches tall. She has brown hair and blue eyes. Authorities she may be traveling in a gray 1992 Dodge Caravan with the license plate number 104FDP. They also said a man identified as 47-year-old Douglas A. Charles might be with her. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Gibson County Sheriff's Office at (812) 385-3496.
Kenneth D. Coakley
Kenneth Coakley, 63, of Rochester, N.Y., has been missing since May 29. He was last seen going into the House of Mercy at 725 Hudson Avenue. According to the Monroe County Sheriff's Office, Coakley is a U.S. military veteran who is homeless and suffers from several medical conditions. No further details on his disappearance have been released. Coakley is described as a white male, 5 feet 8 inches tall and 150 lbs. Literock969.com reports that New Jersey police are trying to locate Ericca Diamond. The 13-year-old from Brigantine was last seen on Sept. 16. Authorities suspect the teen has run away and may be in the New York City area. Diamond is described as 128 pounds and 5 feet 3 inches tall. She has light brown hair and blue eyes. Her ears are pierced. Anyone with information on Ericca Diamond's whereabouts is asked to contact the Brigantine Police Department at (609) 266-7414.
Thirty-year-old Estella Rios-Gonzalez was last seen in Toppenish, Wash., on Oct. 1. According to police, family members reported Rios-Gonzalez left run an errand and never returned. Authorities questioned an ex-boyfriend of Rios-Gonzalez, identified as 40-year-old German Garcia. He allegedly denied seeing Rios-Gonzalez, but investigators subsequently obtained video that shows Rios-Gonzalez and Garcia leaving a casino together in Rios-Gonzalez's vehicle in the early morning hours of October 2. Authorities have since named Garcia a person of interest in Rios-Gonzalez's disappearance. His current whereabouts are unknown. Authorities have not released a description of Rios-Gonzalez. Garcia is described as 140 pounds and 5 feet 4 inches tall. Investigators are also searching for Rios-Gonzalez's vehicle, a gray 202 Chevrolet Venture, with Washington license plate number ABR4784. Authorities in Nassau County, N.Y., are trying to locate 75-year-old John Griffith. According to Malverne-lynbrook.patch.com, he was last seen on Oct. 2, at the CVS in West Hempstead. Griffith, who is reportedly diabetic, suffers from high blood pressure and the onset of dementia. He is described as being 6 feet tall and 170 pounds. He walks with a limp and was last seen wearing a Jets baseball cap, a long sleeve black shirt, dark blue jeans and brown loafers. Anyone with information about John Griffith's whereabouts is asked to contact the Nassau County Police Department at (516) 573-7000.
Authorities in Wisconsin are investigating the disappearance of 19-year-old Jonathan Presti. According to the Rock County Sheriff's Office, Presti was last seen on Sept. 2, when he left his girlfriend's house in Chicago, Ill. Investigators believe Presti was headed back home to Janesville. He has not been seen or heard from since. A description of the teen has not been released. Authorities said he was riding a green- and black-colored Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle, with Wisconsin plate 8801 V, at the time of his disappearance. Oct. 2 was the last time family members saw 16-year-old Marisha Sebastian, of Ledyard, Conn. According to Connecticut State Police, Sebastian is considered an "endangered runaway." She is described as 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs about 150 pounds. She was last seen wearing a pink jacket, gray sweatpants and black shoes. Anyone with information is asked to contact Connecticut State Police Troop E at (860) 848-6500.
Authorities in Lake Villa, Ill., are seeking the public's help in locating 33-year-old Nick Steward. According to Libertyville Patch, Steward was last seen on Sept. 20, when he left his mechanic job at MC Machinery Systems Inc. in Wood Dale. He was driving his white 2008 Saturn Aura. Toll road records indicate he went through a northbound toll plaza at 5:30 p.m. that day. Five hours later his cellphone pinged a tower near Des Plaines before it was powered off. On Oct. 3 authorities located Steward's vehicle in an apartment complex parking lot in Vernon Hills. Authorities conducted a search of the area, but were unable to locate any sign of the missing man. Steward is described as 5 feet 11 inches tall, 175 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black "MC Machinery" shirt, blue jeans and red and gray running shoes. COLD CASE OF THE WEEK:
Terrance Paul Beghin
Terrance Beghin, 26, of Charlotte County, Fla., has been missing since Nov. 1, 1986. According to the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office, Beghin, an employee at a restaurant in Port Charlotte, left his home about midnight on Halloween in his limited-edition 1982 white Chevrolet Corvette. He was supposed to give a friend a ride, but never showed up. Authorities at the time said the suspect foul play in the case. Authorities got their first break in the case on Oct. 3, when Charlotte County workers stumbled upon Beghin's car in a canal. The vehicle had apparently sat in the deep waterway for nearly 27 years. Authorities recovered the vehicle from the canal and positively identified it as belonging to Beghin, but they found no sign of the missing man. The investigation is ongoing.
