Daily temps may not give any indication that it's fall in Miami but the local event calendar sure looks like the seasons have changed.

Autumn is when Miamans can look forward to days and nights spent outdoors. It's when the rest of the country flees icy weather to party down in our tropical clime. And our fair city has some stellar events in the coming months to keep both locals and visitors entertained.

There's of course Art Basel Miami Beach and the all the surrounding cultural runoff that fuels satellite art fairs, hipster parties, and A-list concerts like Kanye and Alabama Shakes.

But even before the Swiss art fair comes to town in December, there are fascinating film festivals, culinary extravaganzas, Icelandic rock, and even a why-the-hell-not bed race.
