American Ballet Theatre's Autumn Fundraiser Channels Ballet Noir

"Black Swan" came to life last month as the American Ballet Theatre channeled all things noir at the company's autumn fundraiser.

Dancers donned their darkest chic, mingling with members of the ABT Junior Council, who organized the event. The classical company is gearing up for a busy season in New York City, with performances of The Tempest, The Moor's Pavane, and of course, The Nutcracker, slated for the next few months.

"Ballet is an art form of the highest caliber, and I can say confidently that each member of this outstanding group has a great love and appreciation not only for the art form but for the dancers themselves," ABT Junior Council's marketing chair, Cara Lynn Moccia, said of her group, which coordinates myriad ABT events throughout the year. "This is the right time and the right group of people."
