After a historic season for Pittsburgh, the Pirates didn't have an answer for Adam Wainwright on Wednesday night in Game 5 of the ALDS. But don't be so quick to lower the Jolly Roger just yet.

In the bottom of the 12th, Andrew McCutchen came through in the clutch and smashed a game-winning home run at PNC Park to seal a 4-3 win over the Brewers.
Martin's Walk-Off Sets The Pace - May 30
The Buccos catcher crushed a walk-off hit to left-center with the bases loaded to give the team some early magic.
Cole Shines In MLB Debut - June 11
In his first big league game, the 23-year-old took a shutout into the seventh inning against the defending World Series champions and knocked in a two-run double in his first at-bat.
First Team To 50 Wins - June 29
Jason Grilli posted his 27th save of the season by pitching a perfect ninth to help the Pirates become the first team in baseball to post 50 wins.
Walk-Off Wins 9th Straight Game - June 30
Russell Martin's walk-off single in extra innings lifted the Pirates to their ninth consecutive win. Their nine-game winning streak began on June 20 and would end almost two weeks later.
Alvarez Crushes A 2-Run Bomb - July 12
Mets captain David Wright did not initially select Pedro Alvarez for the roster at the 2013 Home Run Derby. In his first at-bat since Wright's decision, Alvarez responded with a two-run homer.

In the second inning of the NL Wild Card Game, Pirates fans started chanting Reds ace Johnny Cueto's last name. The pitcher suddenly dropped the ball on the mound and on the very next pitch, Russell Martin crushed a solo homer to give Pittsburgh a 2-0 lead.
