Vera Wang may have made quite the statement with her all-pink bridal collection on Friday, but on Sunday, designer Rita Vinieris -- the woman behind the bridal line Rivini -- did something even bolder.
During the opening of her Fall/Winter 2014 runway show at the Alvin Ailey Dance Theater in New York City, Vinieris sent two bridal models down the runway hand-in-hand. One wore a silk charmeuse and beaded tulle gown and the other sported a less traditional (but equally gorgeous) wide-leg pantsuit. Check out the much-talked-about opener in the photo below:
The Huffington Post reached out to the designer for comment but had not heard back at press time. In January 2013, Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld made a similar statement when he had two brides walk down the catwalk hand-in-hand during Paris Fashion Week.
