You most likely know him as the witty, sassy Jack McFarland from the hit NBC sitcom "Will and Grace" -- but Sean Hayes wants you to know that his sexuality is by far the least interesting thing about him.

Or at least, about the character on his new sitcom, "Sean Saves The World." In an interview on "Today," Hayes spoke about how he is excited to play a different kind of gay character -- one that he describes as very different from the iconic Jack McFarland.

"I am excited to play a responsible gay leader," he said. "Being gay is the fifth most interesting thing about him."

After coming out in 2010, Hayes went on to pursue "Sean Saves The World" and explore the way his gay identity could influence future endeavors and character pursuits.
