Amid a frightening 7.2-magnitude earthquake, some residents of the city of Cebu, Philippines, found themselves fleeing from the collapse of a bell tower of the country's oldest church, the Basilica Minore del Santo Nino.
Amateur video captured the tower's disintegration as onlookers screamed and scrambled to avoid the chaos. The church crumbles like a sandcastle at the start of the video, demonstrating the massive force of the quake.
Tuesday's earthquake claimed at least 144 lives. An additional 300 people were injured.
