"Project Runway" host Heidi Klum just might have a new design project -- the supermodel just plunked down $9.875 million for a new home in Los Angeles, the Huffington Post has confirmed.

Klum bought the property from writer/producer Ed Weinberger and his wife, actress Carlene Watkins, according to public records. Weinberger is best known for co-creating "The Cosby Show."

Klum's new property, located inside a guard-gated community on the hills above Sherman Oaks, spans five acres and has views of the San Fernando Valley. The home's special features include a two-story entry, herringbone hardwood floors, chandeliers and a sweeping staircase, notes the official listing. There are five bedroom suites, including a lavish master suite with dual baths and dressing rooms. There are also two offices, a library, wine cellar and a third floor just for a gym or dance studio.

The Los Angeles Times, which first reported the listing, notes that the newspaper's neighborhood database considers the home to be located in Sherman Oaks, while the MLS has it listed as Bel-Air.

Wherever the house is, its grounds also contain a one-bedroom guest house, exterior kitchen, pool and grassy lawn. In all, there are six bedrooms and nine baths across 11,600 square feet of living space. It's plenty of room for Klum and her brood of four children, and just a slight downsize from the 12,300-square-foot Brentwood mansion she once shared with ex Seal.

Seal, by the way, has moved on too but remains in Brentwood. He bought a bachelor pad close to the family home last December for $6 million, according to TMZ. Klum and Seal have three children together, and Klum has a daughter from a previous relationship. The couple announced their split Jan. 2012, and Klum is currently dating the family's former bodyguard Martin Kristen.

Billy Rose, Jeeb O'Reilly and Mauricio Umansky of The Agency shared the home listing, while Lynn Teschner represented the buyer. Teschner was with Coldwell Banker, Beverly Hills at the time of the sale, but is now with The Agency.
