'Welcome To The Family' Canceled By NBC

NBC's freshman comedy "Welcome to the Family" has been canceled, HuffPost TV has confirmed. The move comes as part of a schedule shake-up across NBC's lineup, which includes the cancellation of "Ironside" and newly announced premiere dates for "Community" (Jan. 2 at 8 p.m. ET) and "Chicago Fire" spinoff "Chicago P.D." (Jan. 8 at 10 p.m. ET).

"Welcome to the Family" will be replaced on Thursdays at 8:30 p.m. ET by original episodes of "Parks and Recreation," as well as holiday specials, and live episodes of "The Sing-Off" and "The Voice."

Per a release from NBC via Deadline, the new Thursday 8 p.m. timeslot will be as follows:

Oct. 24: “The Voice” (encore)

Oct. 31: “SNL Halloween”

Nov. 7: “The Voice” (live)

Nov. 14: “Parks and Recreation” (back-to-back new episodes)

Nov. 21: “Parks and Recreation” (back-to-back new episodes)

Nov. 28: “Sunday Night Football” Thanksgiving game

Dec. 5: “The Sound of Music Live” telecast

Dec. 12: “The Sing-Off”

Dec. 19: “The Sing-Off”

Jan. 2, 2014: Season premiere of “Community” (back-to-back episodes)

Jan. 9: 100th episode of “Parks and Recreation” (8:30 p.m.)
