'Dancing With The Stars': Elizabeth Berkley Channels 'Showgirls' Past For Cha-Cha (VIDEO)

Elizabeth Berkley Channels 'Showgirls' On 'DWTS'

Elizabeth Berkley continued her journey down the memory lane of her career on "Dancing With the Stars." This week, her cha-cha was inspired by the film that almost ended her career before it really got a chance to take off. Berkley admitted to struggling after the terrible reception to "Showgirls," but she shook all that off as she took to the floor on Monday night.

The judges were blown away, with Bruno Tonioli calling it "sexy" and "brilliant." Carrie Ann Inaba said that Elizabeth was a "white panther," while Len Goodman dubbed Elizabeth and Val Chmerkovskiy a "formidable partenrship." That high praise was followed by extremely high marks, as the couple earned their first perfect score of the season.

John Kubicek of Buddy TV loved their performance, too. "She definitely deserves it," he said of the praise Elizabeth received. "I predicted her to be the winner before the first episode even aired, and every week I feel more and more confident in that prediction."

Over at The Wall Street Journal, Kerry Grace Benn was entertained, but wasn't sure the couple deserved that perfect score. "Elizabeth is freaking out," she noted. "The suspicious person in me wonders whether the judges are trying to save her from elimination after a spectacular dance.”

Due to a technical error in last week's show, there was no elimination this week, so Elizabeth was safe regardless. Now, she can carry that perfect 30 into next week's tally.

"Dancing With the Stars" continues on Mondays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
