If The World Series Were Decided By Facial Hair, Here's Who Would Win

The Boston Red, your hirsute champions of the American League, have proven that playoff beards aren't just for hockey players -- or Brian Wilson -- any longer. Entering the 2013 World Series against the St. Louis Cardinals, the Sox roster is long on contributors and those contributors' beards are getting longer by the day. Although the Cardinals' roster may be relatively fresh-faced, St. Louis has cheered for its share of bearded heroes in recent years. Closer Jason Motte brought a fearsome fastball and full-grown beard out of the bullpen during the 2011 World Series. His beard even had its own Twitter account. With Motte sidelined by injury this season, his teammates have picked up the slack and some have dropped the razors.
