This man has one wish for his birthday -- and you can help make it a a reality.
Wade Addison will turn 25 on Nov. 9, and in the 25 days leading up to the occasion he is attempting to raise money for an incredible cause: $25,000 for leading LGBT youth suicide prevention organization The Trevor Project.
Titled "25 For Trevor," the initiative coincides with the latter half of LGBT History Month -- a month-long period of celebration and recognition of the struggles and journey of the queer movement.
If you're unfamiliar with the organization, The Trevor Project describes itself as the "leading national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) young people ages 13-24." It also operates a 24-hour hotline that LGBT youth who need support, guidance or resources are welcome to call at any time.
The Trevor Project is also collaborating with AT&T on the company's "Love Is Changing History" project, engaging the likes of Lance Bass to produce videos that celebrate LGBT History Month. "Love Is Changing History" is an initiative that seeks to challenge visitors to look at love through a different framework and raise money for the Trevor Project through video sharing.
