After the news broke that actress Katharine McPhee was caught kissing Michael Morris, the former "Smash" director is now in some seriously hot water.
The New York Post reports that actress Mary McCormack threw her husband out of their Los Angeles home on Sunday night after he confessed that photos of him canoodling with the "American Idol" contestant were to be published online.
Sources told the paper that the director knew that there were photos of he and McPhee caught in a lip lock and even tried to buy the pictures himself, to keep them from seeing the light of day, in an attempt to save his marriage. Alas, his efforts were thwarted.
Meanwhile, sources told Life & Style magazine that McCormack was completely blindsided by the affair and now she wants to end their marriage.
"They've been together for more than 10 years and always had such a solid marriage," an insider revealed to the magazine. "They have three daughters, so it's incredibly sad. He wants to keep the family together, but as far as Mary is concerned, it's over. There's no going back."
The source adds, “She is beyond furious and is absolutely devastated. So is Michael. He really wants to make it work between them and try and save the marriage. But at the moment, Mary wants to split up with him."
As for McPhee, though she's been married to Nick Cokas since 2008, sources say the two have been separated for six months and are currently living apart.
