A 19-year-old Illinois man allegedly had plans to murder a classmate of his -- and made his plan public by posting it on Facebook.
Thomas Braasch, of Alsip, has been charged with disorderly conduct after threatening his Shepard High School classmate, the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
Braasch's threat was brought to school officials' attention by other students and a school staffer who saw the Facebook post last week, prosecutors say.
According to the Chicago Tribune, Braasch admitted to both police and school officials that he planned to bring a gun to the Palos Heights school and "pop" the student.
Braasch has been ordered held in lieu of $150,000 bail.
