Nasdaq indexes were frozen Tuesday morning while stocks on the indexes continued to trade normally, CNBC reported.

Shortly after the first reports of the glitch, the indexes resumed trading as well, according to a tweet from CNBC:

On August 22, the Nasdaq suffered a three-hour outage that halted trading. At the time, officials called the glitch "unacceptable" and promised changes to avoid similar problems in the future.
