“Hi, I’m Raven Symone from That’s So Raven and you’re watching Disney Channel.”
From Raven Symone to Hilary Duff to even Zac Efron, our favorite tween actors often repeated this simple line while drawing Mickey Mouse ears on the left hand corner of the screen with a glowing stick. Pretty impressive for a Disney star.
Unfortunately for any NYU student who dorms, this sparkly, green-screened image may be hard to find today. Why? Because while Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network, TLC, and even OWN are on the university’s TV guide, one station is missing: The Disney Channel. So forget Halloweentown or Mom’s Got a Date with a Vampire or any seasonal programming for that matter; without Disney Channel our prepubescent years cease to exist.
