When "Jon & Kate Plus 8" first aired in 2007, viewers were enamored with the Gosselin family and their day-to-day lives raising twins and sextuplets. But when Jon and Kate divorced in 2009, their 10-year love story quickly turned into a media sensation.
Today, Jon Gosselin is a single dad who lives in a cabin in rural Pennsylvania. His story will air on "Oprah: Where Are They Now?" this Sunday on OWN. In the above clip from the episode, Gosselin, a former IT computer professional, explains the challenges he's faced as he tries to make his next career move. He's currently waiting tables at two restaurants while he looks for a new IT job.
"It's hard for companies, maybe, to look at me as a normal person and a normal IT person," he says. "I want to live a normal life, but I'm always drawn back into the media with certain conflicts, and it's disheartening. It's frustrating. I'm just looking for a normal career, so I can support my family and move on with my life."
The all-new episode of "Oprah: Where Are They Now?" with Gosselin, Michael Bolton, Soleil Moon Frye and Lynda Carter airs Sunday, Nov. 3 at 10 p.m. ET on OWN. On Friday, watch the "Where Are They Now?" producers share their behind-the-scenes moments on HuffPost Live at 11 a.m. ET.
