After making a successful run on the festival circuit, Paramount is set to debut Jason Reitman's new film, "Labor Day," on Christmas Day. (A nationwide bow will follow in January.) Based on the novel by Joyce Maynard, "Labor Day" stars Kate Winslet as a single mother named Adele, who has her world turned upside when a kind escaped convict (Josh Brolin) takes refuge with her and her son (Gattlin Griffith) over Labor Day weekend in 1987. The romance has garnered some awards buzz already, with both Winslet and Brolin mentioned as contenders for Oscar nominations.
