Miss Universe 2013: Latina Contestants Compete For The Crown (PHOTOS)

LOOK: Meet The Latina Contestants For Miss Universe 2013

Braving the chill and controversy in Russia, 86 contestants from across the globe will compete on Nov. 9 to be crowned the most beautiful woman in the universe.

Over the years, many Latinas have taken home the prize -- most recently Mexico’s Ximena Navarrete in 2010 -- and next week several Latin American beauties will take the stage for the title of Miss Universe 2013.

In the past 20 years, Latinas have taken the crown the more than half of the time, including Navarrete in 2010, Venezuela’s Stefania Fernandez in 2009 and Dayana Mendoza in 2008, and Puerto Rico’s Zuleyka Rivera in 2006.

This year the big night will be hosted by “MSNBC Live’s” Thomas Roberts and Mel B from “America’s Got Talent” and will include musical performances from Panic! at the Disco and Azerbaijani singer Emin. NBC and Telemundo will simultaneously broadcast Miss Universe 2013 on Saturday, Nov. 9 (9-11 p.m. ET/PT) from Crocus City Hall in Moscow.

Will the U.S. be able to hold on to the title or will one of these Latinas take home the crown? Take a look at all 86 contestants below and let us know which one is your favorite in the comments.
