The NHL season is into the second month and plenty of the sport's most talented stars are still having trouble finding their scoring touch.

Here are eight players that have been struggling to put the puck between the pipes.

After struggling to score in the final 16 games of the regular season last year, Anze Kopital only scored two goals in the month of October. He added one more on Saturday.
  • Claude Giroux, Philadelphia Flyers

The Flyers are currently floating at the bottom of the NHL standings and their top star isn't generating any offense. Giroux has zero goals through 13 games.
  • Nail Yakupov, Edmonton Oilers

Whether he's having a tough time adjusting to new head coach Dallas Eakins or just experiencing a rough start to his sophomore season, the first overall selection of the 2012 NHL Draft has notched just three points through 13 games after leading the team in goals last season.
  • Jarome Iginla, Boston Bruins

Iginla has just three goals through Boston's first 13 games. However, the former Flame has become notoriously slow at the start of the season for the last few years
  • Mike Green, Washington Capitals

Green is playing well, but not well enough compared to what Caps fans are used to. Last season he led all defensemen in goals scored, despite playing significantly less time due to injury. He has yet to find the back of the net this year.
  • Dany Heatley, Minnesota Wild
    AP
The Minnesota forward is experiencing the worst start of his career. Coach Mike Yeo has demoted him to the third line, so he'll need to step up soon and start producing.
  • Derek Stepan, New York Rangers
    AP
The 23-year-old was one of the team's top three goal scorers out of all Rangers skaters in two of his first three seasons. But he only has three goals through 13 games this year, and all three came in one game on Saturday, November 2.
  • Dustin Byfuglien, Winnipeg Jets

The big defenseman is still looking to put his first goal on the scoresheet. This is Byfuglien's slowest start in the eight years.

Note: Stats thru Saturday, November 2nd.
