Pamela Anderson Runs The NYC Marathon In Under 6 Hours And Is Left Hurting

Posted: Updated:

Pamela Anderson ran the New York City Marathon on Sunday, completing her goal for charity.

The 46-year-old former "Baywatch" star finished the 26-mile marathon on Nov. 3 in under six hours, with a time of 5:41:03, according to the New York Post. She kept a pace of 13:02 per mile. After finishing, she took to Twitter to thank her brother, Gerry, for his support.

Alas, later on Sunday, Anderson was left feeling a wee bit sore. She tweeted a photo of herself stretched out on a bed with icepacks all over her body.

Still, the pain was all for good. Anderson ran for charity and helped raise more than $75,000 for the J/P Haitian Relief Organization.

"When I finish the race, whatever people's perceptions of me, this is what I've done for a great cause, hopefully inspiring others to do things like this," she told ESPN.

"Everyone has their war stories about being in marathons. But I just think, 'You know, it's a great way to see New York,'" she added. "Running the marathon is definitely one of the crazier things I've done in my career ... I know Hef [Hugh Hefner] is really proud of me!"

Other celebrities who ran the famed race Sunday morning included Bill Rancic and Christy Turlington, according to E! News.
