A junior league hockey coach exploded during a game last week and sent his players' sticks soaring through the air after disagreeing with an official's call.
Baie-Comeau Drakkar coach Eric Veilleux (Quebec Major Junior Hockey League) was captured on camera yelling at a referee on Friday before ripping the sticks from the hands of six players and chucking them onto the ice. He was assessed a bench minor and ejected for unsportsmanlike conduct, according to the Toronto Sun. Veilleux is also said to be facing a $1,000 fine for the outburst.
