It has been a year-and-a-half since Nicki Minaj released her last studio album. But the rapper announced on Monday that fans will not have to wait much longer for new music.
Minaj told New York radio station Power 105.1 that she's already been quietly working on her next album.
"It's very different from anything I've done, which I'm surprised about," she said. "I'm not feeling like I did this. I feel like this is next level."
"And with the album, thank God, I've experienced so much in the last year and a half that there is so much for me to talk about and I know my fans are going to be excited about it," she said.
The rapper released her second album "Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded" in 2012. The album album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 200 and featured singles "Starships" and "Beez In The Trap."
