Virginia Governor Election 2013: Ken Cuccinelli, Terry McAuliffe Face Off

The Virginia governor election is taking place Tuesday, with Republican Ken Cuccinelli facing off against Democrat Terry McAuliffe.

The winner of Tuesday's election will follow outgoing Gov. Bob McDonnell (R), who has been caught in controversy in recent months over gifts from a major campaign contributor.

Both candidates in the race have been backed by major political figures. McAuliffe has had the support of former President Bill Clinton and his wife, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. Cuccinelli has campaigned with such GOP superstars as Sens. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) and Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) and Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker.
