The Patriots have been a step ahead of Rachel and her group of survivors for awhile now on "Revolution," and this week she finally found out why. It was a devastating blow. Her own father was the leak, though viewers know that he was providing information to protect his town from the wrath of the Patriots -- they'd threatened to kill everyone in town if he didn't speak. Poor Rachel only knows shock and betrayal.
Luckily, Miles was suspicious when Gene offered to help get Aaron out of Willoughby. As Aaron has some kind of control over the nanobots that are everywhere now -- the root cause of the blackout -- the Patriots want him quite badly. Thanks to that power, Aaron was able to help facilitate his own escape.
Over at TV Equals, Jordan Alsaqa liked that Gene kept his traitor status as the hour closed, as that will lead to larger conflicts down the road. "Beyond that, it’s clear that Gene is conflicted over his actions, and it makes for a more interesting character than the one we’ve had so far this season," she wrote.
There are so man sides to these new conflicts on "Revolution," Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.
