'This Is The End' Was The Last Blockbuster Rental

The last movie ever rented at a Blockbuster video store was, in an appropriate twist, "This is the End."

A representative from Blockbuster posted a photo to the company's official Twitter account on Monday showing two store representatives with a customer who rented the movie at a branch in Hawaii.

"This is the End" star Seth Rogen retweeted the post, adding, "This is nuts and sad." Rogen, who is featured in the film alongside James Franco, Jonah Hill, Jay Baruchel, Danny McBride, Craig Robinson, and Michael Cera, went on to share his own experience with Blockbuster.

The last movie ever rented from a blockbuster was this is the end. In high school I would go hang out at blockbuster every day.

The video rental chain announced that it would close all of its remaining stores last week.
