British soccer can be so intimate, can't it?
Joey Barton of Queens Park Rangers gave a cleat massage to the groin of Reading's Danny Guthrie in a recent British soccer match.
According to Metro, a trainer was looking after the injured Guthrie, who was lying face-up on the pitch, when Barton offered his own, um, therapy. What the GIF above, posted by Reddit user WengerBaller, does not show is Barton throwing a water bottle at Guthrie's privates first.
Just a light moment between former Newcastle teammates, apparently.
Barton took to Twitter to comment on the incident:
We were just having a little fun, enjoying ourselves so too speak. Him probably more than me. #balltickle
