Those of us who live in New York City already have a certain sense of pride about it, and now we have one more thing to be proud of: "Hot Spots 2025: Benchmarking the Future Competitiveness of Cities," a Citi-commissioned study by the Economist Intelligence Unit, projects that NYC will still be the world's most competitive city 12 years from now.
But New York City isn't the only U.S. city to make the cut, and some of the cities projected to make a jump in the next few years might surprise you.
