After five straight weeks with the lowest combined scores on "Dancing With the Stars," would Bill Engvall and Emma Slater fall just short of next week's finals? Fans were stunned last week when he outlasted one of the strongest dancers in the competition, Elizabeth Berkley. This week, at least it wasn't a front-runner that he beat. Yes, Engvall is a "DWTS" finalist. It was Leah Remini, with professional partner Tony Dovolani, who fell just short.
Remini had the second-lowest scores during the semifinals, though she still outscored Engvall by five full points. It was Engvall's strong fanbase that has carried him this far, and now they've put him into the show's finals. Engvall will compete against Corbin Bleau and Karina Smirnoff, Jack Osbourne and Cherly Burke, and Amber Riley and Derek Hough.
Who will take home the Mirror Ball trophy in next week's finale of "Dancing With the Stars," Monday at 8 p.m. EST on ABC?
