"RuPaul's Drag Race" season five favorite Alyssa Edwards took a drive with the Supermodel of The World this week as a part of RuPaul's ongoing web series -- and the former Miss Gay America had a lot to say.
The breakout queen shared quite a bit about her childhood and her experiences growing up in Texas. The pair also touched on the social perception of flamboyant boy children and the way this mentality is (hopefully) changing as time passes. Edwards also delves into her experiences on "Drag Race."
"Being a big fish in a smaller pond demographically where I'm from, what I thought was the 'it,' what I thought was the 'T,' the 'ish,' the 'gig' -- I came here and it was an eyeopener for myself," Edwards explains, "because it exposed my eyes and broadened my horizon to something so much further than I thought the definition of drag was."
Edwards came in sixth on "RuPaul's Drag Race," after three show-stopping lip-syncs throughout the course of the season.
