College Student Asks His Peers Their Opinion About The Word 'Faggot'

YouTube user Pano T sat down with several peers from his college campus this week for a candid discussion about their opinions regarding the word "faggot."

Interviewing a diverse group of students with a range of sexual orientations, the video's creator sought to clarify the way different people perceive the meaning of "faggot" and the different contexts in which it is used.

Pano T's YouTube video comes on the heels of a number of prominent entertainers defending their use of the gay slur, as well as Alec Baldwin's alleged use of the phrase "c*cksucking faggot" to insult a member of the paparazzi. Baldwin's alleged use of the phrase has sparked a national dialogue about the use of "faggot," particularly in a derogatory way.
