Mayor Of New York Town Goes On Racist, Curse-Filled Rant Following DWI Arrest (VIDEO)

WATCH: Mayor Goes On Racist Rant After DWI Arrest

A New York mayor's racist, expletive-laden rant was apparently caught on video the night he was arrested for drunken driving.

In footage filmed by surveillance cameras at the Monticello, N.Y., police station on Nov. 16, Monticello Mayor Gordon Jenkins is shown having an emotional conversation with multiple police officers while handcuffed to a wall.

"Don't call me mayor," Jenkins says in one of the videos. "Call me n***er, because that's what I am when I'm here in handcuffs."

"They say you are the Klan, I believe it now," Jenkins also tells officers, according to Your News Now Hudson Valley. "I believe all the f***ing n***ers and what they be talking about, about you. You lock my black ass up tonight. You got everybody else locked up."

Jenkins also attempts to persuade one of the officers not to listen to his "cracker" superiors. "They're using you to be a scapegoat on me," the mayor says. "You don't have control over it, because these motherf***ing crackers work for you."

Jenkins was arrested Nov. 16 after allegedly appearing drunk at the scene of a car accident while on his way home from a social gathering, multiple sources report. He was charged with driving while intoxicated, refusing a Breathalyzer, obstructing justice and criminal mischief, according to CBS New York. His license was suspended, and he has pleaded not guilty to the charges, local newspaper The Times Herald Record reported.

The videos were made available as the result of a request under the New York State Freedom of Information Law. The request was filed by Monticello Board of Trustees member Carmen Rue, who has called on Jenkins to resign.

This isn't the first time Jenkins has been in trouble with the law. In 2010, he pleaded guilty to selling knockoff sneakers from a store he owns. Last year he was arrested for hitting a police officer.
