Even though her most notable character helped put another New York borough on the map, actress Lena Dunham actually got her start in this 3,600-square-foot Tribeca apartment.
Over the course of 19 days in 2009, the "Girls" creator filmed her acclaimed independent feature film, "Tiny Furniture" at the loft, which is housed inside a former textile warehouse and is owned by her parents, fine artists Laurie Simmons and Carroll Dunham.
According to Curbed, the unit's white floors had to be replaced after the film shoot, and Simmons says that she still finds bits of gaffers' tape around the apartment from time to time.

A consortium of artists and writers bought the building for $7.9 million in 2001 and converted it into eight condos, according to Curbed. The unit also includes a duplex studio across the hall and a private storage room in the cellar.
