Robert Reffkin bases his management style on three actions that start with the letter L: Listen, learn, lead. When it comes to hiring new employees, listening is his favored approach.

The founder and CEO of New York rental real-estate website Urban Compass told HuffPost Live this week that, when interviewing new employees, he listens to see if candidates can pass three specific "hiring tests."
