On the mid-season finale of "The Blacklist," Liz finally asked the question that's been on everyone's mind all season. "Are you my father?" she asked Red. He told her no, and then again warned her to be careful with her husband. And then, like Hannibal Lecter at the end of "The Silence of the Lambs," he was in the wind.
Red had been captured after sacrificing the security of the box to save Liz's life. But he's a resourceful guy, and so he managed to facilitate his own escape, and get his revenge against the guy who killed his team member last week. During his capture, though, his tracker chip was taken out. And so, the task force is now searching for him. But Red isn't ready to come in yet. He'll probably be ready next month when "The Blacklist" returns to NBC's schedule.
“It's been a decidedly uneven, often silly affair, but there's still stuff to get excited about here: if Alan Alda is built into the show's mythology, then he could finally deliver a performance to match Spader's," wrote Buddy TV's Ted Kindig. "The rest of the show has a lot more developing to do, but we'll have to wait to see if it's up to the task when it returns for its full season pickup.”
