Dustin Diamond Talks Stress Dreams And Impressing The Ladies For HuffPost #nofilter

These days, our knowledge of celebrities too often originates with paparazzi images and snarky quotes by anonymous "insiders." After a while, it's easy to forget that stars are real people. That's why HuffPost Celebrity decided to launch its all-new #nofilter quick-fire question-and-answer series. Because how well do you know someone until they've shared their guiltiest pleasures?

Dustin Diamond may automatically conjure up images of the "Saved by the Bell" geek Screech, but it's been 20 (!) years since then. HuffPost Live caught up with Diamond to pick his brain with our #nofilter series:

When was the last time you cried?
Oh God ... That's hard to say. I think probably "Braveheart." I watched "Braveheart" again and, man, that scene where he comes up over the hill and he knows his woman is dead and ... it's like losing one of your comrades in "Mass Effect."

What's your guiltiest pleasure?
Gaming. Definitely, gaming, number one.

What's the silliest thing you've ever lied about?
That's a hard one because we all do it, especially when we're younger. I actually admitted to being Mike D's brother to some girl because it impressed her and it got me a second date. But Mike D of the Beastie Boys and I are not related ... we don't know how this rumor got started!

But you would say that you accidentally started that rumor?
No, no, no.

So you just confirmed it?
That girl was pretty smokin'.

What happens in your recurring dream?
I don't know, I have stress dreams a lot. I have dreams where you wake up and go "Whoa, that was crazy!"

I think one of the craziest things in dreams, I've been in multiple places I've been to before in my dreams and the architecture of the building is the same in so many dreams, hence the recurrence. And I just wonder -- I'm not an architect, I don't have drafting skills like that, but yet in my head, while I'm unconscious, I have multiple times on numerous occasions made this fantastic -- we're talking heating, venting, air conditioning, the whole deal, support structure walls -- these major elaborate facilities, buildings and houses that I've walked through. And to this day I vividly and lucidly remember ... I must have built them on the fly, in my dreams. That's really weird to me.

I'm wondering if you ever have stress dreams about "Saved by the Bell." It was 11 years of your life.
Yeah, you mean I wake up in a cold sweat [thinking] Belding was in the room with me?! "Saved by the Bell, the Prison Years," I came back as a janitor! I need to wake up and have something to drink. [Laughs] I'm good, no stress "Saved by the Bell" dreams.
