Auburn coach Gus Malzahn didn't need to wait for Florida State and Ohio State to play to weigh in on his team's BCS chances. After his No. 3 Tigers outscored No. 5 Missouri 59-42 to win the SEC Championship Game, a beaming Malzahn said his team's resume had them deserving of a spot in the BCS National Championship Game.

"I tell you what, we play in the best league in college football," Malzhan told CBS' Tracy Wolfson on the field after the the Tigers' win. "I think we won the last seven and you go through our schedule, you deserve it."

Over their last seven games, Auburn knocked off No. 5 Mizzou, then-No. 1 Alabama, then-No. 25 Georgia, Tennessee, Arkansas, Florida Atlantic and then-No. 22 Texas A&M. Despite that impressive run of success, Auburn began Championship Saturday as the third-ranked team in the nation and would likely need a loss by either No. 1 Florida State or No. 2 Ohio State to get a spot in the BCS Championship Game.
