Hollywood's top leading men were honored on Thursday with nominations in the Golden Globes Best Actor categories. The Globes, which are handed out by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, include four Best Actor groupings, two for film and two for television, categorizing for dramas and musicals or comedies.
The 71st annual Golden Globes nominations were announced by Zoe Saldana, Olivia Wilde, and Aziz Ansari in Los Angeles.

At the 70th annual Golden Globes, Daniel Day-Lewis won Best Actor in a Motion Picture - Drama for "Lincoln," Hugh Jackman won Best Actor in a Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy for "Les Misérables," Damian Lewis won Best Actor in a Television Series - Drama for "Homeland," and Don Cheadle won Best Actor in a Television Series - Musical or Comedy for "House of Lies."
The 2014 winners will be crowned on Jan. 12 at the 71st annual Golden Globe Awards, airing on NBC. Funny women Tina Fey and Amy Poehler will host the awards show, which takes place the The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif.
