From the time Michael Jackson became a bona fide superstar at the tender age of 5 years old, until his untimely death in 2009 the world got to witness the entertainer grow up before their eyes. But it seems that some folks were a bit eager to see what the King of Pop would turn out like.
Case in point, in 1985 Ebony magazine commissioned an artist named Nathan Wright to dream up what Michael would look like in the year 2000. In celebration of Throwback Thursday (#TBT) here's a look at what Wright created...
The caption at the bottom of the photo reads:
At 40, he will have aged gracefully and will have a handsome, more mature look. In number, his fans will have grown tenfold by the year 2000.
In fact, Michael was 42 years old in the year 2000 and looked very different from the picture of health and Billy Dee Williams doppelganger shown above. Due to the star's Vitiligo condition, plastic surgeries and prescription drug abuse, the reality of his millennial existence was lot scarier. Although it looks like rocking Miami Vice pastels was pretty accurate.
Don't you wish we could have seen Michael age the way Ebony imagined it?
