Winter is an undeniable bummer. It is dark. It is cold. Your friends are not that inclined to come out of their houses and apartments. Luckily, we've figured out a surefire way to lure them over for dinner: a big old pork shoulder recipe.

Whether slow roasted, smoked, braised or slow-cooked, pork shoulder (or pork butt -- yes they are the same, and no it's not really a butt) is one of those cuts of meat that just gets better the longer it cooks. One drawback is that pork shoulder smells so good when it cooks, it will make you want to stay inside even more. We are partial to carne adovada, but we found a bunch of other incredible ways to use pork shoulders below. What's your favorite way to use pork shoulder?
