Sunday night's Pittsburgh Steelers home game against the Cincinnati Bengals was a bit more emotional than usual.
According to NFL.com, the Lemasters family thought they were accepting a "Salute Our Heroes" award on behalf of Lance Cpl. Cory J. Lemasters, who has been serving in Afghanistan since 2012. But to the family's surprise, Cory walked onto the field to accept the award himself.
"That was amazing," the Marine told Steelers.com, "especially seeing their expressions."
Right after the family reunion, the Steelers shared the moment on Twitter.

Welcome back, Lance Cpl. Lemasters. We're glad we got to witness your homecoming.
Clarification: An earlier version of this article misstated in the headline that Lance Cpl. Lemasters is a soldier. He is a Marine.
