The Restaurant At Meadowood's 12 Days Of Christmas Photos Make Us Want To Eat Everything Immediately

So chefs David Chang, Andy Ricker and Carlo Mirarchi walk into a bar...

Though it may sound like a food nerd’s inside joke, that is exactly what’s happening at The Restaurant at Meadowood this month. The annual 12 Days of Christmas event series is wrapping up at the triple Michelin-starred restaurant, and this year’s list has been a doozy.

Every year, Executive Chef Christopher Kostow invites a different chef to cook in his kitchen each night for 12 nights. Together, he and his guest arrange a tasting menu for the ages, complete with pairings from a visiting winery.

While the tasting menus feature dishes from both the visiting chef and Meadowood, Kostow curtails his contributions to match the style of his guest. (For instance, his menu with Andy Ricker of Portland’s Pok Pok included pla duk, while his menu with Carlo Mirarchi of New York’s Blanca included quince cooked in habanero.)

“We always want to bring in people that we want to cook with, in terms of personalities and learning different things,” Kostow told the San Francisco Chronicle. “I don’t care how fancy or not fancy they are. As long as people are doing what they want to do and what they believe in.”

While the event ain't cheap (reservations start at $395), tickets include a champagne reception, the multi-course dinner with pairings and a chance to sip after-dinner cocktails with some of the best chefs and winemakers in the world. Plus, a sizable portion of the event goes to Napa County organizations The Holly Cranston Foundation and Napa Emergency Women's Services.

The Huffington Post got a chance to pull up a chair at the dinner with Tim Cushman of Boston's O Ya. Check out photos courtesy of Bonjwing Photography below. You'll have to excuse us for drooling on our keyboards.
