Toronto Mayor Rob Ford doled out some interesting advice in the spirit of Christmas on Thursday.

When asked what he was getting his wife for the holidays, he told 106.7's Sports Junkies, "Just money. Women love money."

How thoughtful! According to the CBC, he then suggested: "Give them a couple of thousand bucks and they're happy. Get some treats on the side obviously for her. At the end of the day, she wants her cash. So I give her a nice cheque and we're all happy."

Ford has come under fire in recent months for smoking and allegedly buying crack. He made headlines again this week for accusations he made against a local reporter, which he later admitted were false.
