Kansas' Perry Ellis Badly Misses Free Throw After Taking Elbow To Head (VIDEO)

Posted: Updated:

After coming up very short on a free throw, Kansas forward Perry Ellis seemed to know he couldn't keep playing on Saturday afternoon. Ellis had just taken an elbow to the head from Georgetown's Nate Lubick as he went up for a layup early in the second half.

Perry immediately pointed to his head after the missed free throw and asked to leave the game. The sophomore went to the locker room and didn't return to the bench for the rest of the half, per Jeff Eisenberg of The Dagger.

“I’m not a doctor, OK, but if he had a concussion it’s very, very, very slight,” Jayhawks coach Bill Self said after their 86-64 win, per Rock Chalk Blog. “What he did is he bruised a nerve in his neck and it’s something that the doctors think he’ll be able to come back from in a very short time.”

According to KUsports.com, Kansas' Tarik Black and Naadir Tharpe said Ellis told them he was OK.
