Christmas is all about spending time with family, but the addition of younger cousins to your celebration doesn't mean the day's entertainment options have to bore you stiff. Check out these G–rated classics that will entertain the whole clan, no matter young or old.

  • Rudolph, The Red-Nosed Reindeer (1964), Rated: TV-G
This movie was originally a TV special on NBC and it features classic stop-motion animation. From Snowman Sam to Rudolph himself the characters are a timeless adaptation of the popular Christmas song.
  • The Polar Express (2004), Rated G
This computer-animated adaption of the Chris Van Allsburg book takes you on a wintery adventure to the North Pole with a young boy who doubts Santa's existence. The story is a childhood favorite and the animated scenery is certain to please.
  • The Muppet Christmas Carol (1992), Rated G
The Muppets take over the original Charles Dickens story with Michael Caine as Scrooge. The retelling is sensitive enough for children but presents the classic story in a way that adults will love too.
  • The Santa Clause 2 (2002), Rated G
This sequel to PG–rated "The Santa Clause" brings Tim Allen back eight years after he took over the Santa title. Now he faces a new challenge: finding a Mrs. Clause. The result is a funny and magical glimpse into a North Pole lifestyle.
  • Prancer (1989). Rated G
Eight-year-old Jessica finds a wounded reindeer in the woods and takes it in, believing it to be Prancer from Santa's sleigh. The little girl has to defy the odds (and the butcher) to nurse the animal back to health and return him to Santa Claus.
