NFL Wild Card Playoffs LIVE SCORE UPDATES: Eagles-Saints, Chiefs-Colts Games Open Playoff Schedule

LIVE UPDATES: NFL Wild Card Weekend

It's time for the NFL to get wild.

The NFL's Wild Card Weekend gets underway with a pair of elimination games on Saturday. The second season kicks off with the Indianapolis Colts (11-5) hosting the Kansas City Chiefs (11-5) at Lucas Oil Stadium. Colts quarterback Andrew Luck will become just the 10th second-year quarterback to start his second career playoff game (and Seattle's Russell Wilson will become the 11th next week).

The second game of the Saturday doubleheader will take place in frigid Philadelphia. The NFC East champion Eagles (10-6) will host the New Orleans Saints (11-5). The Saints will be one of two road teams this weekend to visit a division winner with a worse record -- and worse weather. The San Francisco 49ers will take the field in Green Bay on Sunday in what could be one of the coldest games in NFL history.

The regular-season powerhouses may be resting at home this weekend but recent history suggests the eventual Super Bowl winner will be in action on Saturday or Sunday. Six of the last eight Super Bowl Champions began their playoff runs playing on Wild Card Weekend.
