SEATTLE (AP) — Former teacher Mary Kay Letourneau (leh-TUR'-noh), who made headlines after she had sex with her 12-year-old student, is back in jail in Seattle.

KIRO reports (http://bit.ly/JDVrHZ ) she was arrested Sunday night and booked into the King County Jail early Monday for failing to appear in court for a suspended driver's license case. She was held with bail set at $5,000.

The Burien teacher became tabloid fodder in the 1990s when she was convicted of raping the sixth-grade boy when she was 34. She served a prison sentence and married her former student, Vili Fualaau (VEE'-lee foo-lah-OW'), in 2005 when he was 22.
