On a day when President Obama met with congressional critics of NSA surveillance, a group of former NSA officials continued their call for major reforms to the agency. William Binney, Thomas Drake, Edward Loomis and Kirk Wiebe, all former senior NSA officials, released a memo to the President which aims to:
"...explain how NSA leaders botched intelligence collection and analysis before 9/11, covered up the mistakes, and violated the constitutional rights of the American people, all while wasting billions of dollars and misleading the public."
Wiebe, a former Senior Analyst at the NSA, was joined by Pentagon Papers whistleblower Daniel Ellsberg and former CIA operative Ray McGovern on HuffPost Live, where they laid out a plan of action for NSA reform to host Alyona Minkovski.
